It's common to eagerly look for a good hotel when you come out of the railway station, and if you have not gone in there merely to see someone off, you'll even look normal. Here's the only list you need.

When you stay at Amrutha Castle, you allow yourself a tryst with adventure. Take the stairs instead of the elevators, or better yet, allow yourself a tour of the place.

The most expensive of the Dwaraka group of hotels, Rukmini Riviera is still not exactly a den of splendor, but it promises to make your stay comfortable, if not memorable.

Dwaraka Paradise has ample rooms encouraging you to breathe as much as you can - what they seem to lack in furniture, they make up with air.

Dwaraka is a landmark in the area, and a couple of decades back, was a happening eat-out for most middle-class families in the neighbourhood. Hyderabad has since changed.

Dwaraka Deluxe is to Hyderabad what Hotel Ajanta is to Bangalore. It's also much closer to Nampally than Ajanta is either to Majestic or East or Cantonment. And it's not half as hard to get rooms.

Hotel Anmol Continental is well-equipped to take you on a holiday from the bustle of life, or serve you with a few hours of respite from work.

A sibling of the bigger and more expensive Anmol Continental a kilometer away, this one is an easy-on-the-pocket yet all-amenity-encompassing option, and located more conveniently for the rail traveller.

If you are not a very fussy guest, Baseraa Inn can show you a good time. Narcoleptics, however, should steer clear.

Vintage, the hotel's watering hole, promises in the brochure to "lift your spirits". One look inside and you know that that is just a gimmick. Like much of this 3-star hotel.

Perhaps Jaya International will regain lost glory, perhaps it won't. The value-for-money quite likely means that most people will want it to stay the way it is.

Hampshire Plaza takes luxury hotel experience to a new level, in a rather unlikely area.

Hidden in the underbelly of the dusty Nampally shanties and slovenly shops, Raj International may not be the proverbial jewel of the Nizam, but does the bourgeois budget dance to a virtue.

There is a hotel named juSTa The Residence, located at the end of the tank bund road, which is about 4 KM from Nampally. It is one of the best and beautiful hotel located in the middle of the twin cities, facing towards the famous Hussain Sagar Lake.
