No bubblegum theatre this. There's Ayn Rand's 4D courtroom drama (in which the audience is the jury), a 70s play with a contemporary take on evil, a dysfunctional family laid bare, and a Chekhovian-style comedy. Vinay Varma, who gets to be Rahi Masoom Raza for 70 minutes, is kicking off the fest.
Theatre is something that many associate exaggerated dialogue-delivery, sparse stage-design and Naseeruddin Shah with. A tiny but thriving sub-section of the city realizes this. Good for Hyderabad.
