As part of Smirnoff Nightlife Exchange Project, 3 DJs - Breed, Pearl & Stan - and a fusion violinist Manoj George will together peform EDM and melodic instrumentation, on 16th October, at Bottles & Chimney. The show is being hosted by Nikhil Chinapa.
Breed is the other side of DJ Nasha, who weaves bass-heavy frequencies brewed with empirical soundscapes moving in the form of Dirty Bass Sonics and Electro Genre-Defying Rhythms. He is the only Indian DJ to have won the World DMC championships (India) twice in 1999 & 2000. He represented India in NY & London for the world championsips. Nasha shared the stage with the likes of Coldcut, Freqnasty, Sivamini, Howie B, Tallpaul, Ustad Sultan Khan, Talvin Singh and Subswara.
DJ Pearl is considered to be instrumental in popularizing house music in India. In a country where house music was virtually non-existent, Pearl insisted on playing her sound and helped establish this style of music in a nascent scene which has now developed into a thriving one across the country.
Manoj George performs the violin adhering to the indian ragas and tradition, and blends various styles of music like fusion, Indian classical, jazz, folk and Trance. He had completed the LTCL practical from the illustrious Trinity College of Music, London. To his credit, he has performed for the opening act for Bryan Adams in Bangalore 2001. In 2008, he performed to participants from 107 countries at the opening ceremony of the World Military Games held in Hyderabad. He has traveled and performed with different musicians and groups all over India, Canada, UK, Thailand, and UAE.
