Adurs In Trouble Again

Telangana supporters burn Adurs reels following a war of words between its producer and the TRS


8th Feb, 2010: Telangana activists are creating more trouble for the NTR Jr starrer Adurs. Ashoka theatre in Warangal was attacked this morning, followed by certain comments that the film's producer and TDP party worker Kodala Nani's had apparently made.

Theatres screening the movie in the rest of the Telangana districts are also under violent attack by Telangana supporters. Reels were burnt and posters torn, at the theatres.

The latest is the result of a scathing war of words between Kodali Nani and TRS politician Harish Rao. The former had ridiculed a ‘directionless' TRS, while the latter went on the offensive and said that without the permission of the Telangana people no one from Seemandhra would have even been able to set foot in the region.

Kodali's comments haven't gone down very well with movie producers, who now face a threat of losses once more this season. They've said that films and politics should not be mixed
